Danny Dean Robbins, 66, passed into the loving arms of Jesus while surrounded by family and friends, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Danny was retired from Hawker Beechcraft and was a technical sergeant in the United States Air Force. He also retired from USD 259 after 20 years as head groundskeeper at South High School. He loved this job because he could be close to his children who attended school there. Danny was a collector of many things, but his greatest collection was marbles and he became known to many as “The Marble Man”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flossie and Blaine Robbins, and brother, Blaine Robbins, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Suellen; children, Kevin Robbins (Shannon) of South Carolina, Jennifer Arnold (Kelley) of Wichita, Kyle Robbins (Ashley) of Valley Center; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Rhiannon, Maren, Zander, Madison, Rilea, Jackson, Stephan, Andrew, Cooper and Colton; sister, Loree Dredge (Loyd) of Park City. Viewing, 8 a.m.-9 pm., and visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., both Friday, December 13, Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
