Edith Anna Wilson

Edith Anna Wilson, was born November 23, 1918 to Julius and Dora Bockelman near Brazilton, Kansas. She went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 2, 2014, passing quietly in her sleep. Edith married Clifford S. Wilson, May 4, 1947, in Wichita, and spent her entire married life as a homemaker. They were married nearly 41 years. She leaves behind a daughter, Nancy Hawley (Ray) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons, Ed Hawley of Colorado Springs, CO, and Tim Hawley (Megan) of Gypsum, CO; brothers, Laverne Bockelman (Ella) of Pittsburg, Kenneth Bockelman (Betty) of Wichita; great-granddaughter, Zita Edith Hawley; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Ray Bockelman; son, Jim Wilson, and granddaughter and grandson, Tina and Doyle Hawley. A visitation and a Celebration of Life Service were held on June 5 at Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 9 at Highland Cemetery in Wichita. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
