Smith, Lola O, 86, retired Eby Construction payroll manager, died Friday, November 24, 2006. Memorial service 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 28, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan Richard and Martha Emma (Travis) Martin, sister, Lorene Bruns and grandson, Vince Smith. Survivors: sons, Richard and wife, Maxine Smith, Larry Smith and Gary Smith, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Michael Smith and Karolyn High, both of Wichita and Teri Smith of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Jessica High, Allison High and Ryan Smith. A memorial has been established with the Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS, 67208.

From your father, I miss you so much, words cannot describe it. With all your problems, physical and otherwise, you always had time for anyone who also had problems. You seemed to have an endless smile and good word for anyone who needed it. Your childhood picture displayed by your coffin, reminded me of the past. When I came home from work you would be at the door when I came home, yelling –Daddy- Daddy.I would pick you up and accept your hugs and kisses. Needless to say, it made my day complete.
