Theresa Mullen

March 25, 1959 ~ November 20, 2022
Theresa Mullen, 63, passed away Sunday, November 20th, 2022. Preceded in death by her parents, Velma Whiteside and Kenneth Minor; brother, Rick Minor and sister, Carol Waite. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Beck and Mary Price; brothers, Robert Minor and Lance Minor; daughter, Amie Engelbrecht; son, Andrew Mullen; grandchildren, Hunter Engelbrecht, Jacob Engelbrecht, and Cody Engelbrecht; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Theresa had a deep, personal connection with God which she expressed through both study and prayer.
Theresa was a self-employed, co-owner of Andale Painting, a property manager, and a process mechanic for Spirit AeroSystems for a number of years. Her work ethic was distinctive and admired by many. Despite her small stature she had notable strength and hustle in all that she did.
Theresa was an avid reader, lover of crosswords, and puzzles of all types. She was very fond of nature, finding joy and symbolism in all she saw. She had a heart for all animals, especially for dogs, and rescued many pets, including her two dogs, Lulu and Emmitt. She loved spending time with family both at home and especially during road trips and traveling.
Theresa was a fan and supporter of all sports, activities, and interests that her children, grandchildren, and family members chose to pursue. In honor of that, we ask that everyone wear casual dress in support of people, teams, or activities near and dear to your own hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Memorial donations can be made to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita, KS 67202.
Cuz had a beautiful laugh! .Always enjoyed the summer’s at Grandma & Grandpa Heisz we had so much fun. Going to miss ya Babe! RIP!
She taught me what it means to hustle, to find happiness in work, and to show humility in love.
She was a force to be reckoned with for sure. She earned the nickname “Sarge” the summer she babysat me and a bunch of the nieces and nephews.
I can’t listen to Chicago, Led Zeppelin or the Police without thinking of her.
There will always be a hole in my soul now that she is gone.
