Guestbook

  1. Sid and I go back a long way due to our relationship with WSU. While I would never want to offend the accounting profession, Sid was probably the most well rounded accountant I have ever met. He didn’t fit the stereotype. Our conversations varied from sports to fine art, and yes, even to business. He was a true gentlemen and I’m sure that his many friends and colleagues will miss his sense of humor and general knowledge in so many areas. We are saddened by his passing and offer our sympathies to Shirley.

  2. Sid, my favorite uncle, was such a great person. He was my youngest uncle and was so much fun to be with as a child. I have not seen him for years but we have talked on the phone throughout the years and most recently, several months ago. I will miss him greatly. I wish I could be there on Saturday. I will be there in spirit. My love to all the Brinkman clan.

  3. Sid was my first accounting professor at WSU. (Acct 310) He had a way of breaking the tough concepts down so that they were understandable. He was always a quite a character in class, too. Never a dull moment for what could have been a dull subject matter. The accounting profession has lost a fabulous mentor. I will pray for his family and friends.

  4. Shirley, I’m so sorry to learn of Sid’s passing. He was a special man, and will be missed by many. Our common birthday will never be quite the same. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.

  5. Sid and I were colleagues for many years. He had a brilliant mind, tremendous intellectual curiosity, and the quickest wit I’ve ever seen. Sid was a warm and generous man who will be greatly missed.

  6. Thirty four years ago I came to WSU as a new instructor. One of the first to greet me and make me feel at home was Sid.Throughout the years, he didnt change. Always upbeat and courteous, he was a gentleman from the old school. I am saddened by his passing and share in the family’s grief.
