Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dot, Our hearts go out to you and your family. Rex was truly a friend to all and I have been very blessed by his friendship to me. We are so glad that you and Rex made the San Diego trip at Christmas time. We are all going to miss him.

  2. Grandpa Rex is loved by many and will be greatly missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers today and in the days and weeks to come.

  3. Milford, Carol, Stacy and myself have been thinking about Rex ever since hearing of his passing. All sorts of things come to mind including WSU basketball games and New Year’s Day celebrations and I certainly miss both of those. Of course, I’ve spent a number of days working on the National Spencer audits. (Barb, I’ve even thought of swimming lessons and Nancy Drew books). Stacy has surgeries scheduled on Monday and I’ve already committed to subbing at Canton-Galva High School. Our thoughts will be with you even if we aren’t at the memorial service.

  4. Dear Dot, Rex will be sorely missed by many people. He’s someone I’ll always associate with my growing up within University Methodist Church, as he’s a part of my memories of attending there as far back as I can remember. He was always upbeat and made a point to say hello and chat. It’s hard to believe Rex is no longer physically with us as he’s always impressed me as being so youthful. I’m sure your companionship over the years kept him so. I’ll always remember Rex with a smile and fond memories. I’m thankful I had the opportunity of speaking with Rex most recently. We chatted briefly at the end of the church service on Sunday, December 16. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time of loss. Your friend, Mark Williams

  5. Rex was one of my first customers when I started in sales with UARCO Business Forms. We worked together designing all the forms for National Spencer. I started my own company 30 years ago and Rex continued to be a loyal customer. We talked my times about his arriving in Wichita many years before and how he and Dot servived in the early days of his marriage. Rex was a real gentelman. The world was a better place because of him and he will be missed by many.

  6. Dot and family, I was so sorry to hear of Rex’s passing. Just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Dot, and family, I am so saddened to hear of Rex’s passing. I will be with you in spirit during this difficult time. I know that you will miss him dearly. Sincerely, Mardi Hammond (W.S.U.)

  8. Dot, we are so sorry we can’t be at the service for Rex. We have an obligation out of town. We thought so much of him and will really miss him. Ron and Sarita

  9. My entire family will miss Rex. He welcomed us to the neighborhood and really brightened our days. When I would be out in the yard, he would always be sure to wave and most of the time, we would end up talking for quite some time. He loved his family and was very proud of them, was really excited about the new great grand children. His presence will be deeply missed, he was a kind and caring person. Our thoughts go out to his family at this time. Rex was truly a class act.
