CORI SUE (KULL) ECK Early on the morning of July 26, 2016, a choir of angels escorted our sweet Cori Sue into heaven. The angels, hovering in the shadows until she was ready, protected Cori Sue as her mind and spirit pressed on until her body could no longer fight. Cori used her hip, younger attributes to inspire children to love learning and to push them to achieve more. She had a way of celebrating life and bringing the best out of people by sharing her positive spirit. A beautiful soul inside and out, Cori entered into the world as the sixth daughter of Edgar and Carol Eck on the thirteenth of January, 1968. Cori was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by husband, Leonard Kull III "Kullman"; father, Edgar; 5 sisters, Chris (Dale) Pacey, Colleen (Don) File, Carma (Dan) Gentry, Connie (Calvin) Brummer, Cindy (Marc) Cox and multitudes of cousins, nieces and nephews. Cori had a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University and was teaching at Abilene Elementary School in Valley Center, KS. She had previously taught at Holy Savior Catholic Academy and Magdalen Catholic Schools in Wichita. Cori had been awarded the Golden Apple Award and featured as one of Hattebergs People on KAKE television in 2012. Rosary, 7 p.m., Sunday, July 31; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Monday, August 1, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora St. in Wichita. In lieu of flowers and to honor Coris memory, memorial donations can be made to the "Cori Eck Memorial", c/o Farmway Credit Union, 200 S. Hershey Avenue, Beloit, KS 67420 where funds will be distributed to the following charities that helped Cori through her journey: M.D. Anderson Childrens Hospital and Victory In The Valley.
