The worlds greatest sense of humor 🙂 He could make EVERYONE laugh and laugh at themselves! Im so glad he was part of my childhood, and watching he and Mary work through his struggles during the later years was inspiring. Living a beautiful full life despite being dealt a tough hand. A great leader and influence. I would like to thank him for all he did for me personally and professionally. Case has never been the same since he left.
Alan Ballman was a great manager, he really understood what has people was capable of and all the manufacturing processes at the plant. He always worked on bringing out the best in many of us who had been lucky enough to work with him. Alan always treated me well and never ask anything from his workers that he wouldnt do himself. I had a lot of respect for him as a manager. Sending prayers for the family, Joe Solomon
Great man in who I very much respected. Stern manager but was always fair. Wonderful human being who made the world a better place. My deepest condolences to family and friends. We were very blessed in life by this man. Rest In Peace
Great Manager – really understood people and manufacturing. Brought out the best in many of use who had were lucky enough to work with him. Also a good man who treated me well. I remember a time when I thought the light near the KT600 was too dim for me to see the scale used to adjust a micro bore.
He looked at it then looked at me and said ‘ you need to go see my brother’ good advice.
The first time I met Al Baalman was in 1994. I had just been laid off from my previous job and a mutual friend I had worked with talked to Mr. Baalman and set up an interview with him… Mr. Baalman told me that Case wasnt hiring at the time but would give me a chance anyway. 25 years later I still remember what he told me… ‘I got you in the door, where and how far you go is up to you.’ As a Leader he was one of the best I have had the privilege of working for… He was fair and honest as the day is long… If you messed up he would let you know it but when you were right he would back you up… and he always told you when you did a good job!!! Sure missed seeing him all these years..
So sorry for your loss. My prayer are with you and the family.

My condolences
I remember Alan from Kapaun High School. My sincere condolences to his family
We are sorry to hear about Alans passing. We remember with fondness our time as neighbors with the Baalman family. Our condolences to the whole family.
Mary, I wish you and your family could have seen all the Case/CNH people at Alans services….co-workers from the shop floor to the offices to management. Some still active, many retired. It speaks so highly of the respect we all had for Alan as a manager but especially as a person who really cared about the people he worked with and the respect they had for him. Keeping in mind we remember all that from 20 years ago! What a mark he made on the company and the people who made up the company. But as much as he devoted himself to Case/CNH, no one ever doubted the love and devotion he had for his family. May Gods loving arms enfold all of you with peace and comfort.
Super smart and a great person. Manager, mentor, I would choose Alan over anybody .I will always have a ton of good memories about him.
