Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I have SO many fond memories of Ray, someone who liked to garden as much as me but knew a whole lot more about it. Ray became my good friend over the backyard fence…12 years of talking over that fence….a friendship based on a mutual love of gardening. By the time Joel and I moved, we had tried to figure out every way possible to stay in that little house so we wouldn’t have to leave Ray and Tillie. We actually had someone look at our house to see if we could have a second story added – not advisable. Then we checked into having a new basement put under it – apparently not a good idea either. We ended up moving but took with us a love for an awesome couple….and I think I’m a pretty good gardener having learned from the best!
To Tillie and family with sincere sympathy. Ray was a good friend to me at Hillside FH. I could always depend on him, enjoyed working with him and was grateful that he kept in touch. He was a gentle professional. Many will miss him, including me.
Hi Tillie – I was talking to Janie Zuendel on the phone and looking at the paper at the same time and then I saw Ray’s announcement. I had good thoughts about when you came to my apartment for dinner that time….blessings on you….Marty Coburn (friend of Janey Zuendel’s)
Mary,Keith and family, I just want you to know that i am thinking of you during this difficult time….I am sorry I couldn’t be there for your dads service, but do want you to know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers….I will see you soon….love, marcia
To the Family, May you find comfort in knowing that God is ‘near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.'(Psalm 34;18) Take care,
Ray was truly a pleasure to be around. He had a way of making the time spent with him enjoyable, with his humor and fun loving nature. I always knew, when he was working the desk at DL West, that the night would be interesting and time would move faster in his company. I’ll truly miss him.
