Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I didn’t find out about Dave’s passing until a year and a half later. I lost contact with him and had a dream about him, so I Googled his name and found his obituary. I was truly saddened. I worked with Dave in the 80s and remained close friends. Dave, I miss you more now than ever. I know we’ll meet again. Peace be with you brother.
To Dave’s family: Dave was a warm and generous guy, always helpful and positive. He was a thinker and a doer; personally he helped me with many tasks that a new home owner (single female) would need help with. He was a good friend and a loyal member of AA – it was always great to walk into a meeting of AA or Alanon and see Dave – he always gave a big smile and hug and asked ‘are you doing okay’? I will miss Dave and the kindness he gave to all of us who knew him.
I was a receptionist at a blood donation site where Dave came in on a regular basis. He was kind of rough around the edges and made some people nervous but I got teased all the time because I just loved it when he came in! We would tease each other sooo bad! When I opened up my paper this morning and saw his obit., my heart just SANK! I’ll’miss him, we all will.
Condolences to the Clinesmith Clan for their untimely loss. I had briefly worked with Dave in the mid-eighties and he had made a lasting impression. I remember his Red Dragon tattoo was a work of art and seemed at the time to typify Dave’s unique personality. To leave an impression that lasted over 20 years is a testament to the special kind of person he was.
We are so sorry for your loss. Dave was one of the kindest, thoughtful people we knew. He will be greatly missed.
I knew David from the years I attended movie pre-screenings in Dallas, Texas. It was always a pleasure to see such a friendly likable individual. I even recall his motorcycle attire. It was shocking and saddening to me to read about his passing. It had been a while since I had seen him, but I knew of no problems. Please accept my sympathies. May David always fondly be in your memories.
