Gary Lee Bryant, of Wichita, Kansas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, after a short but fast battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Carole; his daughter Sherelyn Cruze (Charles), son Gary M. Bryant of Tennessee, and his grandchildren Christin Covel (Tabitha), James Covel, Julia Armstrong, Jason French; his sister, Paralee Bolt (Daryl), five nephews and one niece, and all other family and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a cause close to your heart in Garys name. The world is now a dimmer place. My Gary died yesterday. Our hearts (family and close friends) are broken. He wanted no funeral. Please look up and say good-bye to him.Carole This is my badass grandpa. This man airsofted with me for several years, and continued even after Id stopped. At 65 hed put teenagers to shame out on the field. He always said that he may not be able to run as fast as them, but he should could outlast them. We lost this amazing man today and I cant put into words how much it hurts. If it werent for him I wouldnt be the person I am today. He was always there, through thick and thin, and Im so happy I got to grow up with this amazing man. I love you grandpaAlex The world lost another amazing man today. My grandpa was the most committed and passionate man. He taught me to find my passion and stick with it no matter how many challenges faced me. He taught me what real love is and to never let it go. Everything happened so fast and this shouldnt have happened to him. But hes found peace and for that Im grateful..Christin Today my son, Jason, turned 9. Today, I also lost my dad. Too fast, too soon. My heart is so broken. He taught me so much..how to mow a lawn, throw a baseball, ride a mini bike, shoot a bow, and how to fix and repair cars. Most of all he taught me how to be strong, that I can do anything I want, that he loved me even when I let him down, and so much more. Im proud to say how much like him I amI dont sit still, Im stubborn, opinionated, dont have much patience for the dumb things in life, and Im strong. He was a great, great man and heaven needs to be ready for his wit! My last talk with him was while I was in Florida and I told him how much I loved him. He held on until I got back Saturday and he just couldnt keep going, but I was there when mom called and was with him until the end this morning. I will miss him so much..Sherelyn
