Barnett, Irvin S. “Stan”, 83, died Saturday, August 12, 2006. Visitation with the family 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at College Hill United Methodist Church. Stan was born near Morland, Kansas, July 28, 1923. He attended country school and Morland High School. After serving three years in USNR, he graduated from Kansas State University in 1948 with a degree in Civil Engineering, and joined Martin K. Eby Construction Company, Inc., retiring in 1991 as Senior Vice President. Since 1955, he has been active with College Hill United Methodist Church and in retirement with East Wichita Shepherds Center, SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives), and Retired Professional Business Mens Club. Survived by his wife, Enid of 57 years; daughters, Judy (Jim) Johnson, of Waukesha, WI., Carol (Marc) Campbell, Linda (Don) Wilson, of Wichita, Sheryl (Alan) Baccarella, of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Neil (Cyrilla), of Morland, KS., Rex (Jean), of Broomfield, CO; sister, Wilma Williams, of Albuquerque, NM; ten grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with East Wichita Shepherds Center, 4407 East Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67210, and College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 East First Street, Wichita, KS, 67214, and Larksfield Place, 7373 E. 29th Street North, Wichita, KS, 67226.
