Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Shirley and I were in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority together, served on some committees and she also served as my co-chair for Founder\’s Day one year. She was delightful to know and to work with. Although I had not seen her in several years, I thought of her often. My condolences to all of you. I know that she will be missed.
Shirley was a good friend of my moms from school. She used to watch my brothers and I when we were little. She was alot of fun and a real jokester. I used to love it when she would come. She used to tell us all sorts of tall tales. i remember when she told me that she did not know how to fry chicken. I thought that was crazy and she had to be pulling my leg. That got to be kind of a running joke with us. I still do not know to this day if she was serious or not. I know she was very dear to my mom and she will be missed greatly
Shirley was my friend for over seventy years. We met when we were little girls as our parents were good friends. I was the only girl of four children and she was like a kid sister to me. We went to school together , taught together and lived together. Shirley was a bridesmaid in my wedding in 1962. She was dear to my husband and I and all of our children. She was a loyal friend and we loved her dearly. I trust she is laughing now in heaven with my husband Clarence and her dear mother Virginia.
You were always the sister in the house of seven boys. You will never be forgotten. May eternal rest and peace be with you.
