  2. Mr. Dorsey was my typing teacher at East High.
He was a great teacher and very patient with my best friend and I, we had a crush on him!

  3. I worked for Wilbur from 1970 until he retired. Wilbur was a man of integrity and fairness to everyone. I personally felt that the Data Center died when he did retire. I wish that there were more people with Wilburs honesty, kindness, sense of fair-play in this world. As a director, he allowed people to grow as an individual and professionally. I would occasionally run into him at the VA hospital, and here he had been a Director of two departments and now he was volunteering his services there as well as all the other volunteering things he was into and all of the accomplishments before and after his retirement!. I was blessed to work for and know this man that we honor.

  4. Fair winds and following seas sailor.

Thank you for your service to this nation.

  5. As an elementary principal during the integration of the Wichita School Dustrict, Wilbur was very helpful to all of us making it successful. Always very professional and treated everyone with respect and dignity. God bless his family!

  6. Wilbur was a great resource and role model for many of us in USD 259. My condolences are extended to his family.

  7. Wilbur Dorsey was a very wonderful friend and coworker. He was always there when you needed him. The way Wilbur lived his life will give him a very special place in heaven. Alvin E. Graham

  8. We had the privilege of getting to know Wilbur when he and Lou moved into our cul-de-sac in Estes Park 15 years ago. They spent their summers in the Rockies with us full timers. Wilbur was a huge part of our Brook Ct family and served as our Vice President for many years. He did a lot of research and helped with issues that arose in our HOA. He worked in his yard and in the common areas of our HOA faithfully. His activity level was inspiring. Shaun lost his grandparents very young and Wilbur and Lou filled a void. We grew very fond of Wilbur and enjoyed visiting with him and listening to his stories and having him share his wealth of knowledge and experience. We are going to miss Wilbur very much. Wilbur and Lous love story is inspiring. Very few get to share the long life and love they had. Our love and heartfelt sympathy is with all of the family.
