  18. I will miss Tom extremely here in the office. He was always pleasant to be around. When had a question, even though he was busy – had the time to assist you with the answer plus reason for the answer. He was a very dedicated employee. When you saw his appraiser number on record, you knew if any errors were found – they were rare to few. He cared about the taxpayers. Did his best to make sure taxpayers were treated fairly. In regards to IAAO, he had alot of good ideas/suggestions on making this a better chapter. He did not see some of his ideas come to light – but that doesn’t mean they never will. Tom had respect for all of his co-workers. He listened to what people had to say in meetings. Even if he disagreed, he would listen and ask questions to try and understand. He never put anyone down for disagreeing with him and/or his disagreeing with them. In fact, I don’t believe I ever heard him put anyone down for their ideas/suggestions and/or for whatever was going on in the office. Tom was a true and faithful friend. A rare jewel that seems harder and harder to find now a days.
