Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
The greatest legacy a man can leave is the testimony of his children. Chad is one of those legacy’s. The students at Pensacola Christian have all been calling our home wanting to know if they should come back to support Chad in this very difficult time. Chad, they love you and want you to know they are praying for you. Tyler and Alicia are praying for you to be a blessing to your Mom and all of your family as you spend this semester with them. They miss you at school but know you are just where you should be. If you need to talk, to cry, to laugh, or just to find out about what test you are not having to take feel free to call Tyler at 308-2993 or Alicia at 393-6335. Once again they are praying for you in the homegoing of your father and are very thankful for his testimony they observed through his son, Chad.
It is with great sorrow that I know you face this time in your life. The times that Paul spent with my son is probably some of the most private and rewarding times my son had during his battle with lymphoma. The mutal battle with this disease is what brought them together but it was their love of a greater being that caused them to bond. The laps around the 7SW floor at St. Francis was something that they shared along with visits when they were at the hospital together. Each faced the battle in their own fashion, each trusting God would accomplish his will. Although I write this still wishing for the son that is now in heaven, I know that he and PAul are now free of their earthly shackles and pain that they endured in their respective battles. The lord gave Steven a Christmas present of heaven and Paul followed 5 weeks later. I am sure Steven met him there to show him the golden streets on which they now walk and grandeurs of the heaven that we all long for. My heart cries out for you today as I know all too well the limitations of the earthly soul and what it may wish for. That may never change but I feel a little better knowing my son has his friend Paul with him to chat, see Jesus and walk the heavens together.
