Rebecca: What wonderful memories come to mind as I think back on our years together as friends and the kindness of your mother. Two of the first that come to my mind are her love of reading and, above all, her devotion to family. The last time I saw her a few weeks ago, she was looking forward to spending time with you and her grandchildren, and it brought such a smile to her face to know she would be seeing all of you very soon. What a special love she had for each and every one of you. When I visualize your mother, I think of her exactly as she appears in the picture you included in her obituary–a big smile! So, I will conclude with one of my favorite verses that I carry with me every day as I remember my mother: ‘Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all.’ May you smile as you remember the life of your mother and the wonderful memories she leaves behind. I hold you and your family close to my heart and in my prayers. Love, Nancy Wright
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Wyatt was my english teacher when I attended East High School in the mid 60’s. I loved her kindness, patience, and her desire to make sure you enjoyed her class. It was because of her I entered college into the education field with the emphasis on english. As I advanced each year and thru my college years I would come and visit and she would always welcome me with open arms. She will be truly missed.
To Margie’s Precious Family My Mother was Margie’s next door neighbor for more than fifteen years. They looked after one another and did their part in making sure the neighborhood remained peaceful. Visits with my Mom often included a visit with Margie too. Always joyful,I loved to watch the two of them together. My heart aches to think of the impact Margie’s passing will have on each of you as well as the many friends and neighbors that loved her so much.
Bruce and family, I was blessed to be able to spend time with Bruce and Aunt Margie when they came to North Carolina a few years ago. I will always remember and cherish the time we spent at the NC State Fair and having the opportunity to get to know Aunt Margie. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Kelly
I just heard of Mrs. Wyatt’s passing. I was her student at East High in 1988. I really loved her. She was my all-time favorite teacher. She would give students detention for being late to class 3 times in a row. Periodically, I would be late purposely so I could spend lunchtime with her discussing books. My condolences and blessings to you. She was a wonderful person.
