Beren, Stanley Orville (Bud), 87, Chairman of the Board of MISCO Industries, died September 2, 2007. Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Downing Lahey East Chapel. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Staub. Bud is survived by his wife of 31 years, Louise, of the home. He is survived by his sons, Tom of Cape May, NJ and Peter; daughter in law Sarah; grandchildren, Rachel and Jake, all of Overland Park, KS; step sons Mike Radwan, wife, Sarah and grandchildren, Madelyn and Sophie of North Carolina and Scott Radwan and his wife, Tracy and grandchild, Ana, of California. Bud will be missed for his silly sense of humor and his acute sense of business. Born in Parkersburg, WV; he earned his MBA from Harvard in 1941. Bud served his country in the Navy during World War II. After the war, Bud moved to Wichita, KS and became a leader in the business community. Bud and his wife Louise have been active for years at the Wichita Art Museum. He served as President of the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation, Campaign Chair for the United Way of the Plains chapter and served on many other community service and business boards. Bud was a founder of KAKE-TV and Underground Vaults Storage. Buds love of fine art and food make him a joy to be around and he will be greatly missed by his friends and family alike.
