Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Betty and family: I was so sorry to learn of Barney’s death. What a fine man he was! I can only guess at what a difficult time this must be for you. I actually grew up with stories of Barney around the dinner table. Dad golfed with he, Ray Moritz, Tom Ruane, and Doc Whitman. While I never heard much about the scores, I did hear of the laughter, good natured ridiculing, and companionship that these men shared. Dad spoke often of what a good heart Barney had. I know that each of you have many special memories of him. Hold fast to those many wonderful memories, for they are a permanent part of you and will always be there for you to enjoy. I know that when Dad was dying, the visit by Barney (whom I believed planned the trip) and the golf group was a treasured memory that he referred to often his last few months of life. Betty, you were so dear to send photos of Dad which you had taken while visiting him. And, the visits you and I had at Dillard’s were special to me. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. Fondly, and sincerely, Jinx Saggau Moore
