  1. I didn’t get to know him in person, but for many years I received his letters for he was my sponsor in a program an institution in my country, Colombia, had to support children of low resources. Back then, I was just a little girl with lots of dreams. Once I grew up, and inspired by his beautiful letters and nice wishes, I decided to study modern languages and I am now a Language teacher (I currently teach English to little children). I told him in one of my lettters that I wanted to be a vet, which he supported expressing he would have liked his son studied that; however, I changed my mind and now I am being able to write this message to say thank you even after his death. I really appreciate his help and his warm words throughout the years. May he rest in peace. With love, Liliana Surez Gonzlez – Bogot, Colombia.
