Pray, Goldie Lucille, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, September 15, 2010, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita only hours after being diagnosed with acute leukemia. She was born the daughter of Marcellus Hiram Ream and Ida May (Dykes) Ream on March 23rd, 1928 in Columbia, Oklahoma. She graduated from North High School in Wichita in 1946. On June 26th, 1946 Goldie married Ira Elmer Pray. She studied psychology at Wichita State University. Goldie retired from Beech Aircraft as a safety industrial hygienist in 1993. She also enjoyed her familys annual summer vacations, which took the family to Table Rock Lake for the past 20 years. Goldie loved to spend her free time teaching Sunday school, working in the yard, and sharing her faith. Mainly she loved spending time with her beloved family. Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Goldie will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Her laugh, smile, gentle spirit and words of wisdom lay deep within our hearts and will live on through the lives that she touched. When our daughter, Candace married her great-grandson, Kendall, she and Ira lovingly welcomed us into the family. Goldie was quick to speak of her faith in the Lord and leaves a beautiful heritage for her family to follow.
