Milloy, we are sorry to hear about your loss. God bless you all.
Kansas Keith was like a second father to me and a lot of my friends. Led the “Playboy” Boy Scout patrol to Philmont Scout Ranch. Have hundreds of happy and funny memories of my time spent with Keith… My sincere condolence to the family…
I have many fond memories of my cousin Keith.
Even though he lived hundreds of miles away, he and his family often came to visit on special occasions. I remember at my daughters wedding he and my wife Paulas dad both had matching Bounder motor homes they parked next to my house. All the seats in the motor home were covered with plastic to protect them from the grandchildren!
Once when Paula and I were visiting in McPherson he took us and his mom Wilma for an airplane ride and showed us a few stunts. Wilma kept saying ‘Youre scaring Paula!’ but Keith and I were in the front seats and couldnt hear. Later Paula told me about it… she wasnt scared at all!
Im sure most people reading this are aware that when he was postmaster he kept the post office open until midnight on April 15 so people could mail their last minute tax returns, and furnished them refreshments when they came! Paul Harvey even mentioned this in one of his broadcasts.
With Keith gone, I only have one cousin left – Vivian Mansfield of Cullom, Illinois, who just turned 99. Because my dad was 55 when I was born, I am a (relatively) young 73!
Paula once told me my relatives were nicer than hers, and Keith was definitely one of our favorites! He will be missed!
Rest Lloyd, until you hear at dawn,
the low, clear reveille of God.
Thank you for your service to this nation.
Celebrate a life well lived!
I remember Keith when he worked for the postal service in McPherson. He was also my dads flight instructor. I am sure he will be missed.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
