Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Doug and Rachel used to be friends with Rich and Rexina and my ex-husband and I were good friends with them so we knew Doug and Rachel as well. I do remember a few parties–one in particular. Doug recited several Warinner’s Grammar rules that he had been forced to memorize at Minneha Elementary. The recitation cracked everyone up! Being an English teacher, I was more fascinated than most. We lost track of them over the years, but I do remember both Doug and Rachel fondly.

  2. The Cramer is in my thoughts and prayers. I first met Doug when he lived on North Old Manor next door to my brother and former sister-in-law. As I recall, Rachel Dye Cramer went to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Grade School with my older sister Terri. May you find strength in God in your time of grief. Richard D. Salyer

  3. Ruth, Rachel & Kids – We have wonderful memories of the old times with Doug. Though we’d been away from Wichita for some time, we always counted on seeing Doug when we were back visiting. And he was indeed a salesman! Greg remembers the 1st time he met Doug in 7th grade, Doug sat down at the table and said Hi!! I’m Doug Cramer!! What’s your name??!! I remember Doug playing his guitar and singing to baby Braden (35 yrs ago) ‘Wonderful baby, living on love, the Sandman says maybe he’ll take you above…’ The world will surely miss such a fun and loving guy!

  4. To all of the Cramer Family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Doug. I quite honestly did not know he had been sick. Doug and I had been friends since we were very young. We were good carpooling partners in high school! I have a lot of special memories of Doug.I feel badly that I have prior committments, out of town, on Monday and will not be able to attend his service but my thoughts will be on him and with all of you. If there is anything any of you need please donot hesitate to ask. My prayers are with you. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Garretson

  5. Ruth, I want you to know that Kitchel and I feel deeply for the great loss you and your family have experienced with Doug’s passing. This is a sad time for all of you, but I hope the care and concern of your Plymouth family will help sustain you in the difficult days ahead.

  6. Doug, you will be missed. We had alot laughs and fun times in high school and after. Your sence of humor was the best. We will see you again when it is my time to go to heaven. I wish you could have saved yourself.

  7. I first met Doug in the late 70’s at The Cramer Co. showroom. He would grab your attention by dropping pin ball machine balls on marble tops and more. It was fun doing business with him . He knew how to take of business and be a friend. Doug, you were GREAT !

  8. Not only was Doug a great salesperson, but he was fun, interesting, and a person to be admired for his honesty and sincerity. I worked with Doug in the car business and I can say that he was very sincere and unique. 15 years after his death, I am adding this post because as time flies, we lose touch with those in our lives. My wish is that he is in God’s arms now and is doing God’s work to help those here on earth as I know he will be a real angel to those he touches.
