Rae Ann (Moore) Dill 76, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born in Iola, Kansas, on November 6, 1942, to William “Ray” Moore and Viola (Haen) Moore Hoard. She graduated Iola High School and Iola Junior College, and was awarded a full scholarship to KU. In 1962, she married Kenneth P. Dill and they welcomed three children, David, Angela and Darren.  Rae Ann worked in the accounting field for several Wichita companies and in 1978 became an employee of AT&T. She retired in 2001. After 37 years of marriage, she and Ken divorced. Rae Ann loved California and spent several extended vacations there. She had hoped to someday move there. In 2011, Ken and Rae Ann lost their youngest son, Darren. Her survivors include Ken; children, David and Angela; grandchildren, Blake W. Dill and Ariana Dill-Carlberg, all of Wichita; sister, Paula K. (Bobby) Cole of Collinsville, OK; 3 nieces and nephews of Oklahoma; 5 nieces and nephews of Ken’s brother, Charlie Dill; her extended family and many close friends. Memorial Service, 1 p.m., Friday, January 18, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

  1. I was shocked to see the notice of Rae Anns passing in this mornings paper. We had just reconnected a few months back & enjoyed lunch together. Jim (my late husband) & I enjoyed many fun times with Rae Ann & Ken. My deepest sympathies to the family.

  2. Im so sorry to read about Raes passing. We were buddies at work (AT&T), and always getting lectured about taking too long on breaks together. Im also the guy who bought her old Sunbird convertible from her. Ill never forget her kindness helping me out by selling me her car when I was in a financial bind. You all have my deepest sympathy.

    someone I could depend on to keep it real. A big hole will forever be in my heart, without you. I feel so blessed to have had the honor of your friendship, for almost 40 years. I will love and will miss you, dear friend for the rest of my life.

  10. I am so sorry for your loss. Rae and I were friends for a number of years while working at SW Bell/SBC Corp. She was fun to be around and I enjoyed her very much. I know we will all miss her smiles, laughs and counsel. I am praying for your comfort now and into the future.
