She was such a great person and will be missed by everyone…
Mrs. Swart was the best PE teacher she was great teaching us how to line dance an also square dance I always remember her by the popcorn dance an Elvira songs she will be missed dearly my thoughts an prayers to her family during this difficult time.
Maxine was one of the first teachers I met when I began my teaching career at Cooper Elementary. We had many fun times together, at school and elsewhere. She helped my parents and I collect red bricks from a building that was demolished at West and Kellogg. We spent a many hours knocking mortar off of the bricks, then stacking them up, and then delivering them to my parents back yard. I have many more memories of her that I will cherish forever.
Max was a true friend and I loved knowing her. The last time I saw her was at the hospital where she volunteered for many years. She never sat idle. God bless you Max.
Cooper Elementary was never the same after Ms. Swart retired. Heaven gained a very special angel.
Maxine was a great lady! I worked with her at Cooper Elementary until she retired. She was always positive and had a smile on her face. She had such a good sense of humor and I can still hear her laughter. I enjoyed getting to know her and was always glad when I would bump into her in the community. Prayers go out to her family, she was so proud of each of you!
Will never forget Aunt Maxine for her love of family and teaching. I was blessed to have spent many of my childhood years under her wing. She was so good to me. Heaven has a new angel.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Praying for the family.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
