I am not 100% certain, but I believe that Robert B Lenczycki served with my father in Vietnam as a pilot for the 937th Engineer Group (C) in 1966/1967. I was reading an accident report from August 25, 1966. My father John W. Furrer was acting as the pilot your father was the copilot on a UH-1B that suffered a catastrophic failure in the tail section of the helicopter while enroute from Qui Nhon to Pleiku. They successfully autorotated the aircraft and all 4 crewmembers and passengers survived the accident. I lost my father this past summer in WA and learned much about his life during his last year but not enough about this incident (I have not come across any pictures of the accident and today is the first time I have seen the name of anyone who was involved). Im glad to know that your father had a long and successful career in aviation.
