  1. Dear Sally Jo and family – I went to First Pres. Chapel this morning at 10 for you mother’s service. It was a great disappointment to find that I should have riead today’s paper for the correct time of 1 PM. I really wanted to see you again and remind you of the good times I have enjoyed with Evie. She was an inspiration to all of us mediocore golfers at CCC. Her game wasn’t what it once was anymore, but she was determined to keep playing and enjoying the company of the girls who were there. And – it didn’t matter who was there or who she played with – she had a good time and kept all of us laughing!!!! As long as we were with Evie the quality of golf – mostly lack of it -was unimportant , and we all had ‘ a good day on the course’. We loved her and I think she knew it. It was our pleasure to have had her as long as we did. I send you my sympathy and sorrow in her passing, but know she is truly in a better place. May God comfort all of you. Sincerely, Phyllis McNeil

  2. Sallie, Your parents were the best of neighbors and Brookside was never the same without them. With our deepest sympathy, Mike and Bobbi Nicholson Edmond, OK

  3. Sallie, You know our hearts go out to you. I’m here when you need me and don’t hesitate to give me a call. Cecil would love to be here, but as you know, he’s in New Hampshire but his thoughts are with you.
