Wright, Edith M., 79, retired Wesley Medical Center and St. Joseph LPN, died Thursday, March 31, 2005. Service 9:30 A.M., Saturday, Maranatha Worship Center. Mrs. Wright was born on December 12, 1925 in Crandall, MS. She was married to Frank S. Wright on December 31, 1940. They had three daughters, LaNell Herndon of Wichita, KS, Karen Sylvia who preceded her in death, Donna Denil (David) of Green Bay, WI; grandsons, William F. Herndon of Wichita, Timothy Alan Shilling (Tonya) of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher Denil (Alison) of Green Bay, WI; granddaughter, Nicole Denil of Coral Gables, FL. Mrs. Wright had nine great-grandchildren, Matthew Herndon of Wichita, Halle, Macie and Seth Herndon, Clayton and Jessica Shilling, Isabel Denil and Sebastian and Diego Denil; brothers, Howard D. Harger (Hilda) of Hattisburg, MS, Bob J. Harger (Sally), Wendell M. Harger (Carol), Larry T. Harger and Roland N (Connie) all of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Edwina Mitchell (John) of Albuquerque, NM, Claudette Jackson of Phoenix, AZ and Brenda Shott of Albuquerque, NM. Her parents and two brothers also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wright loved her family, her church and friends. She was a nurse at Wesley Medical Center, St. Joseph and CPC Great Plains in Wichita and CPC Brentwood Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Mrs. Wright will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorials have been established with Maranatha Worship Center, 888 S. Webb, Wichita, KS, 67207 and American Cancer Society, 435 S. Broadway, S-100, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

  1. Edith was a soft spoken but strong woman. She always made people feel they were important to her. We will miss her soft voice. She always seemed to enjoy her visits with Dave and Donna whether at the cottage or in town.
