Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Alvin Ranzau. I had Alvin and Belle as neighbors for 25 years and couldn’t have asked for anyone better. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have so many wonderful memories of them both.
I offer my condolences to the family of Alvin Ranzau, one of the dearest persons I have ever known. I met Mr. Ranzau at Blessed Sacrament Church where he used to attend 6:30 Mass each morning. He had a hard time walking and I would help him cross Douglas after Mass. The first day I met him, I asked him what he would be doing that day. He said he would be attending the funeral of his wife. I was very startled and touched by that. He told me about his lovely wife and his family. We became quite good friends. He would tell me how he was moving out of his home and one day he brought me a gift from his home — a beautiful picture of Our Lady of Quadalupe which now hangs on our living room wall — the first thing one sees when entering our home. I grew very fond of him, and my husband and I planned to take him to breakfast some day soon when suddenly he disappeared from our lives. He had moved and was not coming to Blessed Sacrament any more. I have missed him and he will always hold a special place in my heart. I will pray for him to our Blessed Mother each time I look at the beautiful gift he left with me.
