Engstrom, Oll Mae, 91, homemaker, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Private family Memorial Service. Born March 2, 1919, she was the youngest child of James H. Chambers a Wichita attorney and Elizabeth (Ray) Chambers. Her father was a delegate and recording secretary for the Oklahoma Constitutional Convention before moving to Wichita in 1917. She had nine siblings, who along with their spouses and her parents are deceased: Harriet Evans (Don), Velma Self (William), Herman Chambers (Gladys), Lucille Glover (Nate), Ray Chambers (Betty), Floyd Chambers, Dorothy Chambers, Janice Ramsey (Hugh), Lela Jean Denison (Ross). Oll Mae graduated from North High in 1937, attended the University of Wichita and belonged to Sorosis. She married the late John J. Engstrom in 1942 and they had one son, Eric, a Wichita attorney. After her son went to college, she became a registered histologist and worked several years at Wesley Hospital. She was active in Junior League and a deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church where she became one of the most senior members. She enjoyed art, music and travel and was a member of various clubs. In addition to her son, numerous nieces and nephews survive.
