Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I spent many an enjoyable hour, back in the day, listening to Doris play piano at different restaurants and clubs in Wichita, as well as at Music Theatre. She was a talented lady, and I so appreciate that she shared her gift with our community. My sincere condolences to the family.

  2. Wichita has lost another great musician, to the great Bus(s) Tour in the sky! Many fond memories of hearing Doris at the Riverside Park Pavilion, when my dad would play trombone with her group. Doris took her music seriously with fun. Condolences to all her family. Sherry Skillwoman

  3. I have three very specific and beautiful memories of my Aunt Doris. First, was taking piano lessons from her every Saturday morning in the studio for more years than I can count. Second was having the privilege of sitting with her at the piano at various jazz performances and getting to turn the pages of the sheet music. Last, and most fondly, is when she would play Christmas music for all the children at our Christmas Eve family gathering. I love her and will truly miss her.

  4. To the family of Doris Buss, Sorry to see the loss of your mother Greg. Pam you released a beautiful tribute. We so enjoyed her piano playing at Hillside Christian and, on occasion, at the Candle Club. Her fingers and talent was unique to herself and all who had the pleasure to hear and witness her playing was fortunate and blessed. Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers go out to you and the entire family during this difficult time. She will always be with you playing her music here and in Heaven. Love to you, Shirley Sagerty, Bill Sagerty, Steve and Sandra Sagerty-Crenshaw
