John O’Loughlin was not a member of the Hays High 49er’s Class, but he might as well have been. He and Karen attended the quarterly class gatherings at Gutch’s in Hays for many years. He often brought pages of information, stories and jokes to pass around, he kept the address and e-mail class lists up to date and shared memories of Hays with everyone. It was great fun watching and listening to all the conversations going on during and after the meal. As they used to say; “A good time was had by All!” Karen, It was a joy to get to know you. (Laura, Dale’s daughter) We send our heartfelt sympathy to the John Byers O’Loughlin Family. He will be missed by many. Dale Park, Mankato, Kansas
John started my career and of course that makes him one of the most influential people in my life. I was an engineering student and worked in the Autocad Lab at WSU. I wanted to move up to working with CATIA and he gave me the chance to prove myself. That humble beginning led to much bigger things for me all because he gave me a break. I’m sure his kids took on his wonderful smart and caring traits. Joanne Bujarski Brooks
