Guestbook

  1. Ellen taught me how to be a nurse in her own, unique way! She teased me and supported me. She became one of my best life-long friends. My husband always knew when I was chatting with Ellen on the phone because there was so much laughter.

  2. Ellen and I went to school together from kindergarten at Meridian through high school at West although she went to Mayberry and I went to Allison. We worked on several plays together at West and were members of the Thespians group. She was such a sweet girl. I’m sorry I didn’t get to get back in touch with her in later years. Mary Lin Mohrbacher Carter

  3. I met Ellen while we were both training to be an LPN. Her hair was vibrant red than to match her personality. She somehow was able to inlist our instructors to do part of her nursing assignments during hospital rotations. I walked into her assigned patient room one day to find her sitting in a bedside chair, feet propped-up, reading the news paper with the instructor making the patients’ bed. Ellen was very intelligent and had a personality like no other; a laugh every minute. People gravitated to her. Although we didn’t see each other much in our later years, our antics together were so fun to remember. I will always cherish her memory and will always be honored we were friends. Rest I peace my friend I will miss you.
