I have known Duane for over 60 years. He married my classmate just 6 weeks after Bruce & I were married. The last year he has been my pastor at Chandler Friends. May God give you comfort and peace. We know he is rejoicing with his Savior and reunited with Pattie.
My first contact with Duane Hanson was when my parents, Claud and LaVina Wilson were the pastors of the Benkleman NE friends church. He is just 3 days older than me. He had the most wonderful laugh. Riding to school my freshman year with him and his cousins, was like a race every morning. Always saw the sunshine of any situation and was always available to help, anyone. It will be a loss to all who knew him, but I know he is enjoying his time with our Father God. Mahlon Wilson
A good And faithful servant; a loving cousin and brother in Christ! I send prayers of comfort and peace to all family and all my love too. 🙏🙏❤️💙
We only knew Duane through our Neighborhood and as our HOA president. But he was truly a gentleman’s gentleman. He handled conflict with authority but never with anger. He could be frustrated, but still smiling. He cared about people. He will be greatly missed and leaves a hole in our Neighborhood. Rest in Heaven Duane. Randy and Pam Vang
Duane was a wonderful man and we did so appreciate all that he did for our Amarado Homeowners Association. He always listened and tried to solve problems while displaying a wit to go along with his genuine personality. He will be missed by so many here in Amarado and his Presidency will also be missed for all his good work. Thank you Duane.
Duane was a good friend to his family, friends, clients and business associates. I have know Duane since about 1997 and have truly enjoyed visiting with him annually as I came to Wichita to visit with him regarding business. He has blessed many and now he is resting with our Lord and Saviour. He will be remembered well.
We have been blessed to know Duane and Patti plus their family for many years. Duane and Patti were our pastors at Northridge Friends. Later we were saddened when Patti passed away. May our Lord give all the family His comfort and peace as you go forward. We are so thankful for the Hansens. And we are also thankful that the Lord is with us all, in every circumstance.
I first met Duane Hansen on the roof of a house owned by Friends University. Duane was working for the FU maintenance department which I joined as a fellow student employee my sophomore year. My first assignment was to assist Duane in shingling the roof of this house. I immediately related to this married family man as we shared country boy backgrounds and familiarity with working with our hands. We also shared an active spiritual life and love for learning; Duane became for me a spiritual mentor and encourager. In recent years we reconnected via participation in the Apprentice Gatherings sponsored by Friends University. I will remember Duane as a life long learner and model of a true servant of God and man.
