Reunited with her parents, Jack and Mayvus Hukill.
The most important part of Sharon’s life was her relationship with the Lord. Whether she was able to be active in church or not, there were always bible studies she was working on. She always trusted in the Lord for guidance, even when she found out she had cancer. Mom was so strong and was not afraid because she knew she would be going home, and home would be perfect. Her life verse was Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Sharon was also a woman with many talents. Crocheting, knitting, counted cross-stitch, huge jigsaw puzzles and challenger crosswords. One of her favorite pass-times was enjoying movies. Whether watching from home or going to the theater, she loved her movies. Her favorites include period-pieces, romances, romantic comedies and sci-fi. Pride and Prejudice was definitely a favorite.
Sharon had a love for anything outdoors, whether it was camping or doing yard work. As long as she was doing it bare-footed, she was happy.
Mom was also very honest, loyal, and dependable. When you needed help, she was there. If she said she would do something, it was definitely going to get done. When she said she would be somewhere, you could count on her to be there and always on time.
I could write a book about all the things we love about Sharon.
My hope is that I shared something that will keep her memory alive in your heart.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice for their care and compassion.
