Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I’m so grateful to have grown up with Angela. My early elementary years and later teen years and young adulthood are filled with ridiculously silly and fun memories with Ang. From singing on the playground together, to The Wizard of Oz, to listening to her practice her flute. Long walks in the neighborhood and later on the Sterling track. Endless teasing at the Ryherd home and “Who got a divorce?” Wild games of quadruple solitaire and of course the infamous exploding toilet. So much joy and enthusiasm for life and laughter! Thank you for sharing your joy and your love – for family and for the Lord – with me. See ya later, sweet friend. Save a spot in the choir for me. ❤️

  2. I will always remember meeting Angela and becoming great friends at Sterling College and having her family welcome me into their house. Angela’s love for music was contagious and her voice was like listening to an Angel. I will never forget her singing at my wedding and blessing everyone with her voice. I will never forget you my beautiful friend and I know you are up in heaven directing a choir of beautiful angels.

  3. My heartfelt condolences to all of Angela’s family. We prayed for her healing but she is now walking the streets of heaven and was welcomed home by her Lord & Savior. We will meet one day in heaven. Blessings and prayer over the family, children and especially Lex . Jackie Kampe, Eaton, CO

  4. My Beautiful Friend, To express that you will be missed and are loved is an understatement. As I’d shared yesterday with Lex, Ruby, Russ and Jennifer, I cannot believe this is happening, even after just seeing Jen a few days ago when she shared that you were not doing well like you seemed to be a few months ago. I was so hopeful and overjoyed at how happy and hopeful you were about your recovery. Our friendship began decades ago at BP elementary and junior high school. What stands out the most, even as recently as a few months ago, is the laughter we shared when we were together at school or at each other’s house. We had so much fun at your house growing up. Whether we were cooking something, quoting “The Sand Lot”, or you and Russ being brave enough to let me cut your hair, there was always laughter. My memories of you and our time together, are plentiful. All who came in contact with you could see how special you were. The same can be said for the hundreds of students whose lives you inspired and impacted over the years, as the best music teacher they ever had. These young men and women are mourning along with the rest of us, as our hearts are breaking. The memories of our children meeting years ago, and all of us spending time together, swimming and at the zoo, will stay with me forever. I also treasure all of our texts and correspondence over the years, including recently as well. Even when texting, we were making each other laugh. These permanent words I have from you on my phone bring me comfort, as does knowing that our last words in person were, “I love you”… Nonetheless, you deserved a much longer life, my love. You were a spreader of joy and positivity wherever you went and with all who were lucky enough to meet you. I have no doubt the same is happening right now, except now you can do so without pain or physical restrictions. I am sending love, hugs and sincere condolences to your Lex, Landon, Lynae, Russ, Jen, Ruby and Marvin. They know I will be here if they need anything. How lucky I am to have met and known these beautiful people in my life, and how very blessed I am to have had you as my friend. I love you and always will, my beautiful friend. Allison Burton Sanchez

  5. Although I only new Angela a few days she made me feel as though we had been lifelong friends. She was a beautiful soul who radiated warmth and joy wherever she went and for whoever she met. This world is a lonelier place without her but Heaven is rejoicing. She was appropriately named. She was an Angel. Chris Dunshee, Educational Tours

  6. So very sorry for your loss… She was a very sweet and dedicated teacher and coach. Was lucky to have known her during her time in Wellington.

  7. Ruby: The Leer family is deeply saddened to learn of your daughter’s passing. You were our twirling teacher many years ago (The Rubyettes). We practiced many days at your mother’s house on Lamar Street in Haysville. Your were an exceptional teacher and taught so many young girls. They all adored your beauty and the talent you had for twirling a baton. I never met your daughter, but she reminds me so much of you, a beautiful young lady. My family has always thought and remembered your family, even up to my mother’s passing. My mother thought the world of you and your mother. I know she’s in a better place now. Always cherish those memories of her, as she will be dearly missed. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. LaNelle Leer and D’Lynna Richter (Leer)

  8. She was one of the best music teachers in the world. She took a chance on me to play the teacher role in our 5th grade graduation. She was a beautiful lady and will be missed by so many.
