Betty Fern Lee, 87, Chiropractic Assistant, died Thursday, July 28, 2022. No local services. Betty loved butterflies, anything pink, blingy blouses, Nuway sandwiches, all the patients she got to know during her time at Jansen Chiropractic Clinic but most of all she loved her family. She made the best sugar cookies, German chocolate cake and peanut butter cookies on the planet. She lit up every room she walked into with her smile, her laugh and her ability to be instant friends with everyone she met. The world is a better place for having had Betty be a small, happy friendly part of it. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Hallie Squires; sister, Lucy (Harold) Ackley; brothers, James Darwin (Lola) Squires, Jerry (Angela) Squires, Kenneth (Mary Ruth) Squires. Survived by her sons, Richard Brian (Stephanie) Lee of Charlotte, NC, Roger Adam (Lisa) Lee of Northlake, TX; grandchildren, Clark Lee of Chula Vista, CA, Rani (Shawn Ward) Parkinson of Northlake, TX, Reagan Lee of Northlake, TX; great-grandchild, Swayze Ward. A memorial has been established with the Catholic Care Center, 6700 E. 45th St. N., Bel Aire, KS 67226. Many thanks to the staff at Catholic Care Center who have been like family to Betty for many years. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

Guestbook

  1. Betty Lee was my favorite co-worker of all time. My name is Shelly and we were together at Jansen Chiropractic and she indeed brightened any day and I will be forever grateful for my friendship with her at a difficult time. Richard and Roger were often in her thoughts but, oh, little Clark! He was the only grandchild at the time. Sorry this is so far after the fact, but I live in the East now and just happened across this notice. What a gift she was! I remember her whenever I hear Neil Diamond.
