Guestbook

  1. Stan was a member of the Victoria high School, Victoria, KS , Class of 1975! Such a pleasure to get reacquainted in the past several years at reunions. Our sympathy from our class goes out to all of Stanโ€™s family and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.

  2. Stan,

You were one of the nicest neighbors I have known. I am so saddened by your loss and pray for Marjorie and your sons as they go forward without you. You always smiled and never had a cross bone in your body. You will be truly missed in the nieghborhood. We will see you in heaven one day!
Love & Prayers, Holmes & Lahna Andrus

  3. Stan has been a close friend, really more of a brother, to Kyle and I for almost 50 years. We met when Kyleยดs family moved to Victoria. Kyle and Stan were classmates and then ended up rooming together during college at Hays. We spent nearly every weekend together.

After college, Kyle, Stan and I took a trip together to California. Iยดm telling you; it was one shenanigan after another. What one of those two didnยดt think of, the other one did! The next year, our oldest daughter was born, and Stan served as her Godfather. We couldnยดt have picked a better role model for her.

After that, it seemed like we all got busy raising our families. We had little time together, but Stan was one of those friends you could see only once in awhile and it still felt like you knew exactly what to say to each other. Kyle and Stan did find some time to get together for a few hunting expeditions.

Stan was a hard worker who seldom complained about anything. One of the greatest things about him was his infectious smile and his unforgettable laugh. I can still hear it now as I am writing this message. I hope it will stay with me always!

Stan will be missed greatly by us and everyone who had the honor of knowing him! He truly was a kind and loving person. A family man who was so proud of his wife and his three sons. Rest in peace, Stanley George. We love you and will hold on to the memories forever.

  4. Stan was a good help on the many scout camps we shared together with Justin. I also knew him professionally through KDHE and know he was a respected professional. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his extended family and his many Scouting acquaintances.

  5. I am so sorry for the loss of the Marcotte family. I worked for an environmental consulting service in Wichita for many years, and as such had many occasions to seek out Stan regarding regulations, cleanup plans and activities, and other related issues. Stan was always easy to work with, and often provided practical solutions to environmental concerns. The world has lost a very good man. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

  6. Just heard today that Stan had passed. My deepest condolences to Maggie and the boys.

Stan was a longtime friend. We had numerous great times together and he’ll always be known as the person who corrupted me during my undergraduate days at K-State. ๐Ÿ™‚

He and I had many occasions over the years to talk as our business circles periodically overlapped.

Stan was one of the best individuals I’ve ever known and he will be missed. As Cindy noted, his smile and laugh were infectious.
