My Mother - by Ann TaylorWho sat and watched my infant head, When sleeping on my cradle bed, And tears of sweet affection shed? My Mother. When pain and sickness made me cry, Who gazed upon my heavy eye, And wept for fear that I should die? My Mother. Who taught my infant lips to pray, And love God’s holy book and day, And walk in wisdom’s pleasant way? My Mother. And can I ever cease to be, Affectionate and kind to thee, Who wast so very kind to me, My Mother?Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear, And if God please my life to spare, I hope I shall reward they care, My Mother. When thou art feeble, old and grey, My healthy arm shall be thy stay, And I will soothe thy pains away, My Mother.

  1. Yup dragged Mom out to a protest back in the day when I thought we could make a difference. That’s my mom supporting me in whatever I felt strongly about. 💔¡ Viva la mujer!

  2. We will always remember tia Dina as a happy, enthusiastic and full of energy woman. One of the special moments I recall the most is their visit to Costa Rica in 2008, where we enjoyed a canopy tour. She was not afraid at all and enjoyed the “tarzan swing” so much. She was so brave and decided to conquer the forest! It was a funny adventure! Love you tia Dina! Forever in our hearts!

  3. We met in San Francisco at the age of 12 we were the best friends for a couple of years until she went to Kansas. Then I lost her for a while and found her again on Facebook. We did junior high school together we sat next to each other in class because she taught me how to do math which I hate it … and I taught her a bit of English. She was having a hard time with the language. I remember her brothers amazing guys and I remember them watching the TV series my three sons don’t know why I still remember but I do and her mom and dad were the best, I’m so sorry that she had to leave us. May she rest in peace…

  4. When my mom was at home in hospice and i would be sitting by her bed crying she would look at me and smile and say “Don’t cry baby” with love and a smile in her eyes. I will never forget that…M💔M
