  1. Our sweet beautiful Margie. We sure did love you here in Carrollton. She was a great scout leader for the boys. She was here with food and some cheering me up after surgery. You were an angel in life and I know you’re an angel in heaven. Rosalie Walker

  2. I met Margie in the 5th grade in Austin, Texas and we became close friends almost immediately. And I watched her over the next eight years impact not only her friends and our class, but our school. She was such an encourager, I am so blessed to have known her and walked with her in our youth. Praying for you, Guy, Stephen, Alex, Matt and Sandy. Much love, Pam Lloyd

  3. She was a bright light to everyone she knew. ♥️. She always had a smile for anyone who needed it. She’s with her Savior now in peace. 🙏

  4. Margie was like a 2nd Mom to me when I was a kid in Carrollton spending many days at her house. She was a huge part of my early childhood, and I will always remember what she did for me during those years. Margie, I just wanted to thank you one more time, and let you know that you’ve left a life-long impact on so many of us. 🖤
    love you forever,
    Kevin Hikel

  5. I was standing in the kitchen of my new home in Carrollton (we were new to the DFW area) instructing the movers where to put boxes when this very pregnant lady with a toddler in hand walked in my house through my garage. She came right into my kitchen and up to me and with a huge smile on her face introduced herself as Margie my alley neighbor. That was the beginning of a life changing friendship, not only between Margie and me but also our kids who were so close in age. So many wonderful memories! I love you Margie! Thanks for being bold and being my friend! My love and prayers to Guy and all of her family.

  6. Margie was such a wonderful friend with such a sweet soul. I have many fond memories of her and can picture her laughing so hard her shoulders were shaking. When I remember her it will always lead me to smile big. Until we meet again sweet Margie. Condolences and prayers to the family. Rest in peace Margie

  7. Margie and I were high school friends, cheering together on a small squad of cheerleaders. Though hanging out among the same group at a large high school, we weren’t “besties”, but our friends were the same pals in a close knit bunch (to this day!) Margie and I shared our high-school-history, even though time took us away in different directions and we didn’t cross paths afterwards. There remains one thing I wish I had shared with her! When I went away to college and met new friends, I had to find a new roommate at one point, and the deciding factor for me was the friendly smile of a brand new friend. Her smile and sweet spirit DISTINCTLY reminded me of my old cheerleader teammate, Margie. It is notable how many tributes here mention Margie’s smile. It was deeper than the surface, but was truly God-given, and she shared it beautifully. Today I thank God for His gift of Margie.

  8. I was so sad to hear of Margie’s passing. Margie was an active PTA member of Blanton Elementary where I was principal. She was such a wonderful person to be around. Kind, always smiling, positive and there to help in any way. Her memory makes me smile. My sincere sympathy to the family. She was respected and loved by many.
