Wichita State Volleyball players and coaches enjoyed Ernie. He attended volleyball matches and events and it was always so nice to visit with him and Adam Kiess. He and Adam were the dynamic duo attending matches together. Ernie showed the program support and kindness and made a positive impact. He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Ernie Wood will be in our hearts forever. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Ernie was one of the first people I met when I started at Cessna in 1990. He had a wealth of knowledge & patience as he trained me. He was my lead technician for several years and we became friends. A very kind gentleman.
Ernie, you will be missed!! Prayers for you and your family🙏🙏 Mel Bussell

Ernie, we will miss you and enjoy the after life. It was great working with you in the good “ol” days at Cessna!
Glad this life is only the beginning!
Ernie was a great man and better friend. He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Gone but never forgotten, I will miss you and our crazy antics as kids. Say hello to Aunt Hattie for me.
Prayers to Vince and Jeanie and the family, thinking of you all ✝💕
What a great day in 1984 when Ernie and I became friends! That will never change.
Once on a post maintenance test flight, the pilots of Arnold Palmer’s Citation III had the airplane in a climb leaving ICT.
Dennis Pianalto was standing in the center aisle where he had dropped in a CD of Top Gun selection Danger Zone.
Ernie was seated behind the door facing aft. I was seated diagonally to Ernie facing forward.
Ernie looking out his side window as the city was becoming smaller, then it happened!
The pilot rolled the airplane! Ernie head snapped 90° from the window my way in shock. Then we both looked up front at “Big D” who standing in the aisle all grins.
Ernie signature head snap would always remind me of that climb out in Arnie’s 650!
I am so looking forward to seeing Ernie in heaven, perhaps very soon!
