Carolyn was a wonderful lady. She loved her husband, Jim and each of her children dearly. They were her life. She loved to travel and be with friends.
She was President of our Pi Beta Phi House where we all had so much fun together. Carolyn will be missed by many. Jolene Prather Rushton
Carolyn was a Pi Phi sister at K-State and there are many happy memories I have of her during those years and after. Wherever we met—at reunions, at K-State bowl games, at Pi Phi luncheons, at local Wichita restaurants, at performances of the Wichita Symphony—she was always happy about seeing you. She was sincerely interested in the successes, joys, and accomplishments of others. As written in the book of Romans, she rejoiced with those who rejoiced and wept with those who wept. “Generosity”
—of resources, talents, grace, and love—is a word that describes her succinctly.
Heaven is dearer. Janice Graham Shaffer

Elementary and Jr high I spent as much time at Griers as I did at home. Mrs Grier IS the nicest lady I’ve met to date other than my wife. She put up with some craziness all with a smile. Still miss my friend Brad. He is talked about often in our reminiscing. RIP. You will be missed.
Carolyn was such a wonderful P.E.O. Sister! She always had a big smile, a friendly greeting & a gracious manner about herself.
She was a beautiful example of how to age gracefully. LIPEO . . . Erlene Senseney
Oh how I loved this Lady! I was so blessed to live on Charles Street as a kid and Jim and Carolyn built their beautiful home right down the street. I had the “fun” and blessing of being those 3 Grier Boys babysitter and had Jennifer as a baby before I aged out! Always the encourager with her gorgeous smile, Carolyn was a huge influence as a young married person. With Jim being on the 4th National Bank Board and Carolyn being my Junior League Sponsor, they were always there to look up to. Love and Deep Prayers for Mike, Kurt, and Jennifer and their beautiful families. And never will we forget Brad. Gone too soon!
Carolyn was a lovely person. She put up with all of us as kids and I actually have had the privilege of knowing her as an adult through the art museum. My heart goes out to Kurt and his siblings. Laura Wulf-Eck
