Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I remember my Aunt Cindy as a very thoughtful and organized person.

On a family vacation when I was barely a teen she planned, chaperoned and orchestrated our Disney visit to a tee; including which order of which rides and events to visit, where and when to eat, etc. all while going with us and guiding us through the park with perfect precision.

On leaving the park that afternoon/evening she navigated the usual maze of LA traffic with expertise. It had turned dark and without any warning a car veered head-on into our lane; she threaded the needle and whipped the Plymouth into the oncoming traffic lane to narrowly avoid collision; and just as fast back into her lane to avoid another head-on. Needless to say not a word was said for a good three minutes until my Uncle Gerry calmly said “the new tires handle pretty good don’t they Cindy.” 🤣🤣🤣

We all owed her our lives that evening and her attention to detail and quick responsiveness certainly avoided catastrophe.

God Bless you Aunt Cindy and Rest in Peace. 💜

  2. She will be missed. I always viewed my aunt Cindy as a cooler version of my mom. Not just because she was younger than my mom, but my sister Vicki used to hang out with her and I think she viewed her more as a friend than her aunt. Plus, I did the math when I was a kid and I realized that aunt Cindy wasn’t much older than my sister! LOL.

  3. Cindy was only 9 years older than me & spent a lot of time with her, hanging out on the farm in Maple Hill Kansas, shopping at the mall, watching her at band practice, she played the trumpet, and marched in the band as a majorette. She was more like a bigger sister to me than an Aunt. Cannot thank her enough for taking care of my Mom for many years in Wichita. She always was a very caring & fun person to be around. She will be missed by all.

  4. My wife Joni and I have known Cindy for many years. We went on many vacations together, went to dinner and shared holidays. Cindy was a highly organized person, she could always get what you wanted or needed (many times before you even asked for it). She was caring and compassionate, prioritizing others over herself. Cindy was a truly exceptional person and now that she has gone home, Joni and I will miss her very much.
