A life rich in kindness, compassion, love, and curiosity began on August 20, 1969, when Chad Michael Alexander was born to his loving parents Deana and John Robbins in Wichita, KS. After the untimely and tragic death of John, Chad’s family remained always with him, surrounding him with love and support. In 1973, Chad became a big brother to Zachary Alexander. At 12 years of age, Chad’s family expanded again with the addition of Thomas Ackerman, Chad’s beloved father. Chad met life’s challenges with quiet determination and resilience. With generosity and courage, he would share any part of his experience, knowledge, or skill if it could help another person. Through his example and service, he has made the world a better place and improved the lives of countless friends, family, and patients. It is with sorrow that his family must write that Chad passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Chad was proud and honored to serve as a nurse. Through his compassion and dedication, his work improved the lives of his patients. He was an exceptional nurse who provided the best possible medical care while also ensuring that his patients were listened to and supported in any way he could. He led by example and was an invaluable and beloved mentor who trained many nurses and staff. His depth of compassion found a home in nursing and touched everyone who knew him.
As a hobbyist, Chad was a voracious practitioner. When something caught his interest, he studied every facet of it. His passion was contagious and extended to a multitude of his favorite hobbies, interests, and pursuits that brought vibrancy and joy to his life and included literature, building models, target shooting, photography, flying kites, music- among anything else that captured his interest. He was always excited to share his deep and expansive knowledge with anyone who expressed interest.
As a son and brother, Chad loved and was loved unconditionally. His parents are deeply proud of who he was and his impact on the world. Chad was there for them when it mattered most. He was incredibly proud of his brother, Zac, and Zac was proud of Chad in equal measure. They championed each other and did what they could to ensure each other’s success and wellbeing. It was a joy to orbit their adventures and conversation. Together, they were quick to laugh and even quicker to offer support.
As a husband, Chad was loyal, dedicated, and supportive. He loved his wife, Julie Alexander, wholeheartedly, and she reciprocated that same love. Their love was bound in friendship, devotion, commitment, and faith. Together, they endeavored to create a loving, playful, nurturing, enriching, and safe home for their two most beloved daughters, Emma and Stella Alexander. As a father, Chad was deeply loving, devoted, and patient. With wisdom, humor, and kindness, he dedicated everything he could to being the best possible father to Emma and Stella. The family he and Julie created meant the world to him.
To everyone Chad encountered, he extended the best of what he could offer. Whether a relative, friend, coworker, or patient, Chad made everyone feel special and cared for because he was authentically present with them and genuinely cared for them. Chad was charming and engaging and gave his best so that an often difficult world could be easier for others to bear.
Chad is survived by his wife of 22 years, Julie and their two daughters, Emma and Stella; his mother, Deana Ackerman, and father, Thomas Ackerman; his brother, Zachary (Katie) Alexander, niece, Olivia, and nephew, Elliott; and brother-in-law, Chris Rairdon.

Rest in peace brother. We’re friends with your parents and you went to school with Royce Berkley our son. Praying for God’s comfort.

I’m so sorry to hear the passing of Chad. We lost touch after High School but we were such good friends then. I will never forget being “cousins” and laughing about not knowing exactly how. We didn’t care, we thought it was awesome! Wish I could have been there to give my person condolences. Thinking of all of you and his wife and girls.
