Roger was born March 5, 1940, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Marion and Lois (Clark) Bond. The youngest of three children, he graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston in 1962. Roger graduated from Marquette University College of Medicine in 1967 and completed his residency and fellowship at The Ohio State University. He was a longtime season ticket holder for Shocker basketball and frequently attended WSU baseball games. Roger especially enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren.
