Agnes F. Kenny

Kenny, Agnes F., entered into eternal life on Oct. 28, age 89. Agnes (nee Lievens) was the daughter of Belgian immigrants who were pioneer citrus farmers in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in the 1920s. She moved to Wichita after her marriage in 1944. She will be remembered for devotion to her family, her friendly disposition, and her wonderful cinnamon rolls. Her favorite activities included bridge, bowling, sewing and entertaining. Agnes was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She had resided at the Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, since requiring care for Alzheimers in 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Wey Kenny. Surviving are daughters Kathleen (Tom) Arenz of Milwaukee, WI; Patricia Kenny of Phoenix, AZ; Mary (Bill) Adair of Kansas City, MO; Joan Kenny of Lecompton, KS; and Susan Kenny of Chapel Hill, NC. Other survivors include her sister Marion Raulie of Cedar Park, TX, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, Nov. 2 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1321 N. Stratford, with family visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Memorials to Catholic Care Center, 6700 E. 45th St. N, Bel Aire, 67226 appreciated. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.

Kathy: I am writing this for my mother-in-law, Virginia Sauer. She wanted to let you know you and your parents are in her prayers. She lives at Georgetown here in Wichita and is 93 years old. She said you were a very good friend of Suzanne’s.
