Agnes Henning

Agnes Henning, 98, passed away on February 10, 2023. Agnes was born the daughter of Michael and Philomen “Minnie” (Landwehr) Stuhlsatz on November 17, 1924 in Garden Plain. She grew up on the farm there and went to school at St Mary’s in Aleppo. She met Vincent Henning and were married in 1945 and raised 10 children together. She loved family and hosted many holiday dinners and family gatherings at their home over the years. For many years, she was very involved with the Christ the King Altar Society and served as President of the Altar Society as well as Chairman of her Guild.Preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; daughter, Theresa Bruce; infant son, Charles; grandson, Michael Bruce; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.She is survived by her children, Janice (Don) Bobbitt, Lloyd (Shiela) Henning, Gary (Debbie) Henning, Patricia (Glen) Burdue, Jim, Virginia (Leo) Merriman, Sandy (Wayne) Jones, Stanley, and Barbara (Roger) Ralls. Agnes is also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Rosary at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary at 7 pm, Tuesday February 14, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday February 15, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4501 W Maple, Wichita, KS.In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Christ the King Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 4411 W.
