Alan Disney

Alan Disney Alan was born February 5, 1955 and passed away January 22, 2018. He was the son of Arthur Ray Disney and Rebecca Grace Disney. Alan was a Captain with the Sedgwick County Fire Department with 32 years of service. He never met a stranger; he was friends with everyone he met. He was a devoted husband, father, sportsman, photographer, woodworker and firefighter. Alan loved to help his fellow firefighters and was active as a member of The Committee of 100, Police and Fire Fishing Tournament, Sedgwick County Firefighters Benefit Association, Kansas Firefighters Memorial (Final Call), Law Enforcement Memorial of Sedgwick County, KS and was awarded Firefighter of the Year. Preceding Alan in death were his parents, and his brother, Mark. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rhonda L. Disney; son, Austin R. Disney (Lindsay); daughter, DeRon D. Mecum (Seth); grandson, Jack Alan Mecum (expected in May); sister-in-law, Jackie Disney; brothers, Kevin Disney (Vicky), Daniel Disney and Barry Disney (Jeanne). Memorial Service to be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 26 at First Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with First Church of the Nazarene Childrens Ministries, 1400 E.
