Alan Joseph Smith, 56, father, friend, and Instrumentation Engineer, died Saturday, January 15, 2022. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 20, 2022, Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Friday, January 21, 2022, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Preceded in death by his father, Johnny Barnes Smith and his mother, Rena Rene Smith. Survived by his sons, Aaron (Kara) Smith of Maize, KS, Ryan Smith of Wichita, KS; daughter, Breanne Smith of Derby, KS; sisters, Linda Rusconi of OK, Anita Peters and Kathy Griffall both of Kansas City, MO; grandsons, Elijah Smith, Peyton Smith, Apollo Smith; granddaughters, Brileigh Smith, Piper Smith; numerous relatives & friends.
