Alberta Bagley

Alberta Bagley, 93, was born January 28, 1923, and passed away June 6, 2016. She was born and raised on a farm southeast of Stafford, Kansas. It was here that she met and married her high school sweetheart, Wendell Bagley, in 1942. Alberta was a homemaker throughout her 71-year marriage. She enjoyed sewing in the early ears and later became an avid quilter. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, and after her husbands retirement, they traveled extensively. They took many domestic trips, often with church friends to Colorado or Elder Hostels, and also traveled to international destinations including Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe. There was music in Albertas house: she was an accomplished alto singer and often sang around the house and loved to sing harmony at church. She was an active member of RiverWalk Church of Christ for over 50 years. Alberta was preceded in death by husband Wendell Bagley, and is survived by her two sons, Curtis of Dallas, TX, and Mark (Pamela) of Wichita. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A private graveside service has been held. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
